A fair price?
Can't find the '19 M240i coupe on True Car yet so I'm just looking for what others think a fair price would be. My options are Mineral Grey, black leather interior, run-flat all seasons and NAV. Build and Price shows $49,500. Dealer is adding destination $995, registration and fees around $1,400, tax at $4,000 totaling around $55,895.
Thank you. |

Build price is $51,295 without the registration taxes and fees that they are adding. That's from the BMW site.
I've got one ordered that's a Xdrive, HK stereo, black grill and Adaptive lights for $51,000. That's not with taxes. |

Don't include tax when comparing or negotiating prices. You want to look at MSRP + destination as your number. Something in the neighborhood of 5-10% off that would be reasonable. Depends on dealer/location/ordering vs on lot/etc. This isn't a terribly hard to get car, don't let them convince you otherwise, and don't let them bully you with made up fees, inflated APRs. And don't get the run flats! |

I haven't found 5-10% off on any BMW in USA. Series two are either few on site and they are proud of them or if ordered they don't have much incentive.
I tried to find a 2-3 year old car it ain't that easy. Keep this going your the only recent post on this thread. Hap |

I paid $1500 below invoice, which came to about $4500 (8.5%) off the $53,120 MSRP of my M240i. That is the dealer discount.
BMW FS incentives in addition to the dealer discount were $3750. (3000 APR credit and 750 in loyalty credit.) $47,400 out the door. This includes about 2500 in sales tax. The APR was 5.1%, which is absurdly high, but it is a non-issue for me since I'm going to pay it off very soon. Financed to avail the incentives only. Mine is an order vehicle. Struck this deal and ordered in November, picked up the car in February. Hope this information helps, happy shopping. Last edited by IchMagMunchen; 03-03-2020 at 06:51 PM.. |

Seems like 7–10% off MSRP and the additional $3000 to go through BMW Financial Services is considered to be a good deal. But, I assume that dealerships will become increasingly hungry for business over the next few weeks. Anyone have thoughts on what new levels of good deals might be had: would 15–20% off MSRP be within the realm of possibility?

Paid less than that for my 20'... M240iX loaded with all options except the wireless charger... Don't get the RF's, lol.
Unless you're desperate, just wait it out, and shop pricing (new). Vehicles depreciate even if they're sitting on the lot. If any mileage on it, then they've loaned it out and screw that! My opinion is if paying top $, no deal, then just order one new! I got 10% + the $2,500 kickback from BMWFS. Got an additional $500 from BMWCCA! In addition, BMW Corp. made amends on totally screwing up my Welt Visit last Oktoberfest and I didn't get to take my car for Euro Delivery while there (for the experience). So it was even cheaper! Again, I'd take it new, but if older, there's got to be a deal. Don't forget, once you drive it off the lot, it's still a 2 year old car that you paid the same as a new car!? Does that make sense? You'll instantly depreciate 2 years... |
