Seafoam Valve Cleaner
Forgive me if this has been covered, I’m new to the DIY car world but have so far done all the work on this car myself.
I bought a used m235i with 38k miles and have upgraded everything to FBO. Decided I should try to clean the engine since I don’t know if that was done by previous owner. I’m using the spray can to clean the intake side and figured I’d just unhook the charge pipe, feed the little spray hose in, clamp it back up and follow the directions, but it seems the clamp is too tight and it’s just closed off the spray hose. Is there a trick to doing this? Can I do this into the air intake (passed the MAF), or will that hurt the turbo/FMIC? Appreciate the help

seafoam seems way too old a product type to be using on modern engines.
bmw has a technique for dealing with deposits, not even an issue on the 235 engine. |

Thanks, decided it wasn’t necessary after doing a little more research

Maybe a walnut blast at 100k miles, but I haven't seen anything really suggesting its necessary on the N55. Helps running good fuel and driving it hard each heat cycle
