BMW and Porsche's tips for European Delivery driving tour routes of Germany
BMW route website:
https://www.bmw-routes.com/de/de/routes/index.jsp You can change the language in the lower left corner, then click "discover routes" Have fun View post on imgur.com Porsche Tours From time to time many forum members have contacted me for helpful tips on where to “tour” while on ED over here. There is really no wrong or right answer. Just go where you feel like seeing. But even then there are so many places off the beaten path that might spark (desire of) your car lover’s heart. I came across Porsche’s website many years ago and it makes for a good “research tool” on where to drive while on ED. I think this thread might come in handy for anyone planning an ED trip! For more info look at the German Porsche website: http://www.porsche.com/germany/sport...velclub/tours/ Sorry this website is only in German. But you can click on a tour region from the left hand list… and see the various Porsche tours they offer. When you look at the car/trip packages… they include rental of a new Porsche, hotels and dinner(in most cases). It really isn’t that bad of a deal. Just some food for thought. Here are some of Porsche’s recommended tours… Munich Southern route… Bayern, Schwarzwald, Heidelberg Porsche webpage... http://www.porsche.com/germany/sport...utherngermany/ Alpine Passes... old Alpine roads SuedTirol & Dolomiten... Porsche webpage... http://www.porsche.com/germany/sport...-dolomitealps/ Alpine Tour... Ludwigsburg, Ulm, Garmisch, St. Moritz, Buesingen Porsche webpage... http://www.porsche.com/germany/sport...ouralpinetour/ Tour Burgund route... Schwaben tour… Porsche webpage... http://www.porsche.com/germany/sport.../tourburgundy/ Porsche 25 year anniversary… Stuttgart, Munich, Kitzbuehel, Kruen... Porsche webpage... http://www.porsche.com/germany/sport...scheexclusive/ Some of the Porsche trips/tours have been deleted… but here are some I have saved! Nurburgring… Blackforest: Heidelberg, Rothenburg, Munich, Lindau, Baden-Baden. French Villages: Ludwigsburg(Stuttgart), Colmar, Baerenthal Lake Konstance – BodenSee… Southern mountain lake area… Burgundy wine area… Castle Tour… Black Forrest Tour… Bavarian Tour… And IF anyone wants to contact Porsche for one of these tours here is their contact info: Porsche Travel Club Telefon: +49-(0)711-91178155 workdays: 09:00 und 18:00 Uhr Fax: +49-(0)711-91178158 info@porschetravelclub.de Anyone planning an ED tour might also want to check out my mega blog on Auto Musuems in Germany! Yup Kagan! I am already thinking about it and when we should do this year's "Dackel's tour of the Alps".

I will do all of these once my car gets here.
Don't forget about Switzerland either, driving through just about any part of Switzerland is awesome, like being in a video game. Huge mountains everywhere, tunnels, roads right along huge lakes. Just spectacular. Italy...well, can be a little scary . Right of way is "whoever has the bigger vehicle and goes the fastest" and some of their mountain roads are so steep and narrow with no guard rails etc. that it is absolutely terrifying. Many people give up and turn around after starting up Northern Italian roads into the mountains. |

I'd highly suggest a meal at Davvero when in Munich if you need a change from Bavarian fare...

I like German(Bavarian) food too. IF I am in Munich I like... Zum Augustiner Neuhauser Straße 27 80331 München augustiner-restaurant.com Recently I went to the Brenner. It was quite a nice place, although it was packed! They had all sorts of food(types). Brenner Maximilianstraße 15 80539 München brennergrill.de Outside of Munich, I LOVE to go to this little place... so many great home made cakes and German food. I love Bavarian food too, just when I'm there for work cannot handle it for a week straight. Need to mix it up a little bit. Maybe if you're raised on it you can do it, but my stomach can only handle so much.
