M235i Control Arm Life??
Hey there,
On my older BMW's, I'd get about 80k-100k miles out of mine before needing replacement due to worn bushings. However, I hear a clunk from the front driver side, with the wheel turned while going over bumps. I only have 56k miles (2016 M235i) so Im wondering if these newer ones wear out faster? Anyone ever have to replace theirs yet due to worn bushings? Best regards, M |

Thanks for the insight!
I just found out they're also not covered by BMW CPO which is always fun. In fact, neither is my Bluetooth cutting out intermittently. I wonder what the heck is ever covered? CPO seems so worthless outside of transmission or engine failure. Anyhow, good to know on the control arm. Thanks! |

Yeah my tie rod was replaced 3 times from the clunking/single loud crack when getting close to lock up on bumps... 40K miles later, no issues. They said my tie rods kept bending, but i am thinking maybe the bushings got KOed.. regardless i had my suspension reworked from an accident so all under warranty from that repair
70k miles now and she still purring hard |
