I use wd -40. I don’t want anything with any kind of abrasive.
Don’t think any cars use chrome / chromium any more. Everything now i guess is a paint or brushed cheap metal with maybe a clear coat... |

0000 steel wool and some Mother's chrome polish followed up by paint prep wipe down and CarPro DELUX. Future cleanings will require just a wash.

+1 on the #0000 steel wool and a good metal polish like Adams or P21S polishing soap. I used to do quite a bit of paint correction work and professional detailing as a hobby a few years back, I had even considered it as a profession, anyways I won't bore you with that. Either combo will leave your chrome tips like mirrors I guarantee it.
