Ordering shadowline trim option with standard 2 series
Hi!
Thanks for the ordering and pricing guides! Time has come for me to replace my beautiful 128i. (I live in USA) I am thinking of ordering a 2019 230i, and the guides post gave me most of the information I need. I have a question though. I would like to order the standard 230i (Sport Line) with the Shadowline exterior trim (option 760). But the Shadowline trim is only available with the M Sport option. The standard line comes with the silver trim. And from what I understand from the guides, apparently it's not an option I can add in itself. Anybody know if it is possible order the standard 230i with option 760? Will they accept that? Thanks so much! Gonza |

Talk to a sales person and they should be able to get you the answer. These options are constantly changing and how they can order them.
If you can't get the option you want, something that is probably cheaper to get what you want is to have someone that does tint and or wraps to do a vinyl wrap on the trim.

I highly doubt it. You can try, but it isn't likely. Now, if you were in Europe, no problem.

I asked about the black trim when I ordered my '18 230i. I was told it can be done 3 ways:
(1) order the M-sport package to which that trim is exclusive, or (2) the dealer could order the trim pieces and swap them out after the fact, and I pay parts and labor, or (3) seek an aftermarket solution on my own, e.g. vinyl wrapped by a 3rd party I've been looking into some stuff called Super Wrap that seems like it'll do the trick, but I'm going to wait til I'm ready to upgrade to black rims and practice on some stuff other than my car first. Or maybe when I upgrade my wheels I'll go with the polished aluminum look and just leave the trim shiny. Haven't decided yet. |
