Rank these in order

All I have is a Dinan Stage 1 tune. Please put these in order. What would you do first?

1. Dinan springs, sways, ride quality kit, shockwave

2. Injen intake, Dinan intercooler, charge pipes

3. Dinan Exhaust

4. Dinan big turbo, Stage 4

All the Dinan Parts = Dinan tune?

Can't speak to the specifics of running things on the 228, but personally, I'm a fan of taking care of handling before power. So the way you had it ranked initially gets my vote!

Can't tell if my thinking is backwards or not since more power needs adequate suspension / tires . Considering you have the 228 and not the 235, maybe it makes your sense in your case to go power first?

I have the Dinan S1, the springs/bumps, Shockware and pipes. The tune obviously makes a great difference but the real game-changer is the suspension combined with the Shockware, which dials out all the diving and rolling and much reduces understeer. Even more than the tune by itself, this great performance suspension turns the car from a small sporty luxury coupe into a sports car in terms of its handling and driving dynamics. For me, the added power of the tune would be less effective without a really good performance suspension. I like feeling all that kinetic energy going to where the rubber meets the road rather than getting dissipated in soft stock springs. The Big Turbo is overkill for me and is really a track mod; I would advise caution on that.

My thoughts as well. I had suspension as #1 too.

Ok,
So I went a little out of order.
1. Dinan Elite Stage 1 - done
2. Injen Evo Intake - done
3. Dinan Exhaust - done
4. Dinan lowering springs and spacers - done

Looks like Dinan intercooler is next and then on to sway bars or poly bushings.

If you get the intercooler you'll want to tune for it so that should be a budget item. By lowering springs do you mean the Performance Spring set? Did you get the bump stops too? They are worth it, ditto Shockware, another relatively inexpensive suspension enhancement. Does Dinan do spacers for non-Dinan wheels now? Which ones did you go for, f/r? What sort of driving are you planning to do with this car?

I have Dinan Stage 1. The Dinan spring set for my suspension doesn't require new bump stops and won't accept the software (non M)
The spacers are 12mm rear and 10 mm front just to get the stance a little wider with the lower springs.
The new Dinan exhaust has slight drone at average speeds and really doesn't do much even at WOT. I may need to replace the resonator with a straight pipe to get some real sound.
This is a daily driver. It won't be seeing the track for anything except maybe a standing 1/4 mile run (just for kicks).

If you are not going to do serious track work, I think you are wasting your money on an intercooler (which would need a dedicated, expensive tune), sway bars and bushings. Just my 2c.

I live in Florida and heat soak was a big issue with my Volvo. I did have a bigger turbo, 18# boost tune, a downpipe and 3" exhaust. It ran like a scalded cat after I replaced the intercooler.

How safe is the Dinan tune? How many miles have you run on it?

It has been flawless. 20k miles and not a single problem. No CELs, no stressed out components, no lag or uneven power delivery. And I drive it fairly hard when it's safe to do so.
