Headlight Washers

I'm about a month into ownership, reading through the manual as I find the time (rare). But saw it talking about headlight washers. I apparently don't have them? What was needed for them? I don't remember seeing a standalone option for them during my order and I got the premium package. Did they discontinue them? Does anyone have them on an M240i?

They are no longer needed for LED headlights, so it's has been removed.

They were required by European regulations due to fact that Xenon headlights had a higher lumen count than LEDs. Since Xenon are no longer an option, no need for them.

I believe they came with the Cold Weather Package, at least they did on my M235.

They did, then lots of us coded them off since they are more trouble than they are worth.

European models still have them, at least my Norwegian ordered 2018 model 2-series. Comes standard, not possible to get the car without them.

There are a few things that are standard on cars bound for cold weather climates like the flap in the lower part of the intake box.

True, delivery to cold climate area may very well be the reason for mine having the washers.

Canadian 2-series with HID or LED lights are not fitted with headlight washers, even though they have other cold weather items such as large battery, heated washer jets, heated steering wheel, heated seats. The E82 1-series coupe used to have them as standard, though, but on the 4 BMWs I've had them on, they have all leaked after about 3 years from new, didn't clean the lights very well anyway and just consumed a massive amount of fluid.
