White/red gauges, 230i
Hello people,
I recently purchased a 2016 230i, after i crashed my 120D. On both cars, the gauges (speedometer and rev counter) turns red, whenever the ambient light reaches a low threshold (like every other BMW, I guess). Does anyone know of a workaround, in which you can prevent this from happening? I know that the red light has a lower wavelength and therefore is more comfortable to look at when it's dark, but I still think the white light looks better. I don't know, if this has been discussed before - I tried searching the forums, but couldn't find anything similar. If there allready is a thread about this, I apologize. Kind regards. |

Great question, unfortunately I do not know a way around that I know exactly what you're talking about. You can turn the lighting dial to the middle off option and it will turn off the orange but then it will be hard to see at night.

That's bizarre, II have a 16 M235 and mine never change color. The only change mine does is the ambient lighting can be changed in the I drive.
