Reset brake service indicator
Hello everyone!
I replaced the pads on my car a few weeks ago & ordered a new sensor which arrived a week ago. Just installed the new sensor but still get the brake replacement required message on the dash. I’m aware of the secret service menu on the lcd that decorates the bottom half of the instrument cluster (where you add the last 5 digits of your vin) but I have absolutely no idea how to reset the service indicator for the brake pads. It’s an m235i (2016) does anyone know how to do this? |

Ah ha! I’ve done it!!
So if anyone else has the problem the solution is as follows... Replace sensor Turn on car without pushing the brake pedal WAIT FOR SERVICE MESSAGE TO DISAPPEAR from Instrument cluster Hold odo reset button Scroll to reset you want Hold odo to enter reset Then release and hold it again Then hold it until the progress bar goes across! Job jobbed!! |
