Quick question: Is there a TSB on condensation of rear tail lights?
As the title says. I have my car for service now and they are trying to replace those lights for me but obviously there is no condensation now and they said they are not aware of this being a common issue. I did send them picture with my license plate and lights with water, but I am not sure if thats enough since they might need to see water in person. Perhaps there is TSB or something that I can send them?

This is a design flaw with these lights, it is very common to have condensation in them, however, if you see water droplets formed, then they should replace them. I had mine replaced just a couple of months after getting the car.

Yeah I know, but there are no water droplets now, they dried up when I brought it for service, so they said they need to contact BMWA etc because they are not aware of this issue at all. I have pictures but they also said it might not be enough for BMWA

I am guessing they might just go head and replace them....my previous advisor replaced my leather seat without questions and for some reason this new advisor just noted that it might be an issue with light replacement.....will see. I was hoping to point them to TSB or something to make it easy

I had the same issue, the new ones started to get it too, but not as bad.
I think there is some literature out there that states if it's mild condensation they are not required to replace them, but if there are droplets then they do have to. Just off the top of my head. Also not really sure how this happens so easily. I've taken them appartment to put led bulbs in. The two halves snap together very tightly and there is a pretty robust gasket that fits between them |

I had mine replaced on mine as well. The replacement still gets some condensation, but not nearly as bad. I notice it the most in the reverse light area. I'm wondering if the bulb doesn't seal well or something??
