Hit & Run, Repair Damages? (Leased Car)
Yesterday on my drive home, I got rear ended at the highway exit while waiting at a stoplight. The other party told me they would pull over then ran off. I tried chasing the car down, but the car was running reds and it felt too dangerous to pursue.
The damage luckily was not as bad as I was fearing. The rear diffuser popped out and is misaligned, but the bumper isn't dented. There are some marks on the bumper and the paint is "fractured" (best word I can think of). My lease is up in 3 months and I don't really want to deal with insurance. How much will I be charged by BMW for these damages? |

If I do a turn-in inspection, it's not final right? As in, if I do the inspection then go fix the bumper, I can go back and get my car reinspected?

There are some cracks and scuffs, but no dents. I do have a dashcam, but it's useless because the other party did not even have a license plate on their car...

Damn, that sucks. If the plastic is cracked, then you're SOL. If it's just scuffs (not down to plastic/primer) you might be able to get away with having it buffed by a detailer.
