Digital Rebel or 40D?

Im in the market for a DSLR. This is going to be my first professional camera but im not that much of a noob at photography. Do you guys think i should get the Rebel and try to learn with it or save a little more money and go with the 40D? I know the 40D is the better camera but for some reason, most pix ive seen out of the Rebel have looked better than the 40D.

Well, the lenses are going to be important, too. But I would definitely go with the 40D if it's between the two.

Are you talking about the rebel XTi? I upgraded from XT to 40D and love the 40D

Try Rebel XSi aka 450D. I pre-ordered it for $799 on amazon. It will ship on 04/15.
