Co-incidentally one of my first new cars was a 2004 Accord EX V6 6MT coupe. IMHO, it was much more of a driver's car than the generation you had, but something just makes those Accords mind-numbingly boring after driving them for a few months...

Before purchasing the M240xi I crossed shopped/test drove: Q60 Red Sport, Audi S5, Mercedes C43 AMG, BMW 440xi, M240xi. Top two for me was the C43 AMG and the M240xi. The exhaust on the C43 was very intoxicating. But for the price and performance of the M240xi it was no brainer. Plus only the BMW Dealership let me drive the demo cars like I stole it. They actually encouraged it. Lol. |

Oh wow. I just did 3M clear bra on the hood and the bumper. Definitely worth it to wrap all those parts. Yeh I am trying my best to hold off on the mods. I am very happy with the performance aspect of the M240i so far. I think any more power I would start getting into a lot of trouble with the law.

C43 AMG = V6/362hp with 384 lb ft of torque. M240i = I6/ 340hp with 369 lb ft of torque. C43 AMG felt more like a GT car. Definitely has more road presence IMHO and had good power but was close to 80k Canadian after taxes and delivery. The M240i IMHO was more fun and felt like it had more power and was 25k cheaper which made the decision super easy. Also wife was happy with the price. |

Now I must ask you, since you have had a S5, how is that compared to the 2-series?
I am deciding between a 235, s5 or even s4, I know it's different cars, but what's your take so far? Does the S5 feel like a ship/boat with lots of understeer compared? |

I agree with gk09. B8.5 s5 was a nice car but not a great one. I always felt like there was something missing. S5 does feel heavy but it's still very fast. The supercharger kicks in instantly. It didn't understeer as much as I thought. B9 S5 was a huge turn off for me. The front looks like a Ford fusion with a huge grille and it's grown in size. The back end just looks like a new Chevy Malibu. I can't say much about the 235 because I haven't drove one but the 240 is a great car. It is so much fun. Since 235 is probably identical to 240. I say go for the 235 imho. But if you need four doors go for the 435/440i GC

I would take the Merc is I was looking at the M3/C63 though. The V8 is appealing and I like the interior better. I would probably take the ATS-V over the M3 as well. A buddy has one of those and I love the way that thing drives, even if it's a tiny bit rough around the edges.
