Well, Spring is here and since I put winter tires on my stock wheels this year, I need to get some new Summer wheels now. Really like the looks of this style on the 2 series. I was considering some other replica 437's that came in 18x8 but they have been out of stock for awhile. I would like to do a square setup on my x-drive on stock suspension. Thinking of going with the 18x8.5 with 39 offset to minimize the poke. Does anyone know if I can get away with 245-35-18 square with these? I assume the fronts would be pretty close to the suspension. Been playing around with the calculator on Will They Fit but not sure how much clearance I need. Or should I stick with 235 square? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

shorter lug bolts for shaved wheels?
So with the wheels shaved 4mm for ideal fit, can they mounted using stock lug bolts?...or do they require new shorter lug bolts? Sounds like the wheels still poke a wee bit with 4mm shaved. OEM has stated 4 - 5mm, why not go straight to 5mm (I know that's shaving hairs). Is it crazy to even suggest 6 or 7mm? Love these wheels...and Joe the car looks great.
Forgive me, I'm learning a ton here. When installing will these require hub centric rings? (M235i) You guys are awesome for sharing all this info. The education is invaluable. Thanks |

No hub centric rings needed. These have the correct center bore already. Also the oem lugs worked 100% fine for me.
I'd measure the inner clearance on my 235s to see if 245s would clear in the front, but my wheels just caught a nail the other day so I put my factory ones back on until I get a replacement tire. My judgement though says it might end up rubbing on the lower part of the strut, but again can't confirm at the moment. |

Thanks Joe240, was hoping you would chime in. Will probably just go with 235 square. Would be nice to fit the 245 under there though and I don't really want to go staggered.

I think these wheels would look great on my car in 19s. Would someone please recommend the size I would buy for a square setup? And should I go with 235 or 245 for tires?
Much appreciated. Love, love, love this forum. |

If going square, only option would be 8.5s et 35-39. Tires depend on your ride height. If stock suspension, then 235 or 245 would work. If lowered, 235 would be your only option unless you have coilovers or camber plates in the front, then you might be able to clear 245, but safe side would be 235.

Could you please send me an PM for two pcs. 8,5x19 ET39 and two pcs. 9,5x19 ET44? I'm from Germany and don't know how high the customs charges are. Have you already sent some wheels to Germany? Thanks in advance!

If you're US Military in Germany, you can fill out a form that allows you to not pay the import fees. |

Nope, $1600 USD for the wheels and shipping to Germany from Canada almost a year ago. Customs fees would have been an additional 1600 Euro if I didn't have the tax exemption form.

I just paypal'd (yes.. that's a verb) a down payment to Anthony for a square 18x8.5 et35 shaved to et39 for my yet to be completed M240. My question(s)... I had originally planned on 245/35/18 Conti's, but after many PM's to Anthony and reading this entire thread (a few times) looks like that isn't the safe bet for a stock xdrive M240 setup. I do not plan on lowering the car and will keep the stock height. So leaning towards the safe/no rub/no poke setup I was going to pull the trigger on PS A/S+3 in 235/40/18. With the 18x8.5 et 39 square setup on a stock F22 xdrive suspension.... this should work?? No rub or poke? A little of 2K in a wheel/tire package, I just want to ensure when the goods get delivered I'm not with a setup that doesn't fit my bill. FWIW I was going to do the Alutec driven 18x8 40et in 245/35/18 square setup until I saw the 437M wheels. TIA Scott |
