Interior
Hi All,
I've had my m235I since February and I've had a couple instances of damage to the interior surfaces. It doesn't seem like a very durable material they used. Anyway, I accidentally made this scratch across my driver's side door when I was stepping in the other day. It is extremely superficial and I think it would come out easily with the right compound, but I don't want to use the wrong cleaner and stain the door. Has anyone else had issues with their interior taking damage like this? And what solutions worked to fix the problem without harming the finish? Thanks, Deeter1910 |

If you remove the scratch you will also remove the material around it so it will never look exactly the same as new. The good news is that under some lightning conditions it can still look perfect.

The only thing that MIGHT work is there's this leather repair goo I have no idea what it's called and I got it years ago off one of those infomercial things. Comes in all colors you basically apply it then before it dries you use this pad they give you to press the texture into it. Basically liquid rubber glue kind of stuff.

I have a few light scratches there too. Caused by the rivets of my jeans when trying to get out of the car in a tight parking space.

This is what you need. You apply the black liquid then cover with the "grain paper" to blend the texture.

Haha, No I am not Edward Scissorhands. I believe it was cause by the zipper on a bag, although it could have been rivets on a pair of my jeans as well.
I don't know if I'll apply any filler products, it is superficial so I don't think it will leave a groove once the loose fibers have been cleaned off, I think the surface will just need an oil of some sort to reseal it. |

I've used Goo Gone to get scuff marks off the kick panel and it worked great. Are you sure it's a gouge? Try it you'll be surprised how effective it is. If that doesn't work - 1Z Einszett Deep Plastic Cleaner and a nice nylon bristle brush or tooth brush.

I tried this years ago to cover up the scratch on the interior, it worked nearly flawlessly, you could still see the scratch when looking closely. Years later now I don't even notice it. |
