How do you disable the interior motion detector?

I had to leave my dog in the car real quick and little after I locked the door using the door handles my alarm went off. i unlocked and locked with the fob and same thing happened again. I'm assuming that my dog set off the motion detector. Is there anyway to lock the car and have it disabled? Thanks.

after you lock the car with the fob, press the lock button on the fob again and release. You will see the clown nose light glow red then resume to regular flashing.

Not sure if this works with the door handles though.

Thanks did not know this. I ran into the same issue the other day when I ran in to get food I had ordered on my way home with the dog.

Garage List
BMW don't make it very clear in the Owners Manual: I have to do this in my convertible when I leave the roof down. When you press the lock button for the second time, the flashing red light under the rear-view mirror stays on for only a second or two before it starts to flash again. So what I do is bend down to look through the window as I press twice, and then I can see the light stay on.

My delivery girl at the PC went over this but I am still never positive I'm remembering it right. I also think there must have been some times I turned the sensors off without intending to.

I think the dogs are just tricking you into disabling it so they can go for a joyride.
