Key Fob Differences
Is the Comfort Access key fob bigger than the standard non-Comfort Access key fob? Not sue I want to have a bigger key fob in my pocket all the time if I get Comfort Access.

Older BMWs needed the fob plugged into the car to start/run the engine. This allowed them to have rechargeable batteries. AFAIK, all 2-Series have "Comfort Go" even if no keyless entry, meaning that you only have to have the fob in the cabin to drive - it never gets plugged in.
This gives a double-whammy: The fob has can't have rechargeable batteries and it uses its radio more often to confirm that it's present. So more power used and no opportunity to take power from the car leads to the need for a physically larger battery in a bigger fob. And you have to change it occasionally. |
