I am currently trying to install the OEM splitter on my front bumper, however, BMW supplied some replacement screws w/ washer, to replace the ones that were originally attached to the lower bumper but they don't seem to tread properly. I tried many times to tighten the screw but they seem to only tread half way, then become resistant. After physically looking at the two bolts, they seem to have different tread patterns. Did anyone else have difficulty installing their front splitter and any suggestions ?

I had the same issue with mine a few weeks ago. I can't remember exactly, but I think I used a combo of the old screws and the new ones for the 4 that go in the center.

I also had this problem. It's harder to torque in a Phillips screw head versus a hex screw head, and the new ones are longer. So, I used a 90 deg ratchet type screwdriver with short bit, which made it a bit easier. Basically, you really have to put pressure on them when installing, but they will go all the way in. The new screws are likely "cutting new threads" past the half way point.
