Bought some Black Gloss Kidney Grill with M stripe painted from eBay for $90 3 months ago.

Looked good the first month, but after only 3 or so months (SUMMER HAS NOT EVEN HIT), the center blue is turning white...just terrible.

When I first Got it

It use to be Dark blue, as you can see, it is slowly turning white

LUCKILY, i was able to use the OEM Black center piece and clip right onto the eBay black surround without issues.

Was thinking in ordering the tri M stickers..but loving the pure black look

Dude.. yes. So much yes.

I sometimes wish I had a black car (or any other car when I see a cool one modded here ) but this is perfect IMO.

Tried and failed to dip my emblems. Dip came off of the emblem when I pulled the tape away. It looked good though, so I may try again later.

How many layers did you spray on? How long did you wait before peeling after last application?

I followed this without a hitch...

Thats the reason why I just bought the gloss black painted one from IND. Its a bit more than I wanted to spend, but you'll never have to worry about it peeling off and putting application after application on. Its around $80 shipped. a slight discount through PM

Those bronze volks look awesome and id be curious to hear a review on the KW plug and play coilovers.

The black grills without the M colors looks so much better. They are being overdone at this point IMO.

Agree with going IND route for painted emblems. I'd say go that route or debadge. I'm a fan of plastidip but I dont want to put plasti on my 50K BMW. Would rather pay a little more for a painted piece.

Haha, I thought of your post when I messed it up. I think I'll be buying them as well whenever I get the cf spoiler I want.

Plastidip is paint :/ It really did look good though. 4 coats of black and three coats of gloss. That said, I'll probably buy emblems.

Honestly, Its my favorite mod I've done. It looks great and they do a pretty solid job. The CF spoiler is on my list as well! So many mods and not enough cash to get them all done lol

Plastidip isn't paint. I've done at least 5 sets of rims so I'm familiar with the product.

4 or 5 layers of black and 2 layers of gloss. 10 to 15 mins between layers. Waited 30 mins before peeling. Oh well.

You can spray almost right away one coat after another and the tape should be peeled off as soon as you are done or the dip will peel since it'll dry to the tape also. The more you dip, the more comfortable you'll be doing it. Plenty of good DIY videos floating around.

(excuse the dirty car, I just finished it up and with the cold/rain every other day I haven't had the time to wash it)

more like cold------hot, but yes, that's the one. Better than nothing, right?

Thanks, I picked up the 30ml kit. I still have almost a quarter of the bottle left.

I plan to use the remains for the exhaust tips and brake calipers.
