Spent the day completely detailing the car! It's looking better than new
Bought a few new toys from carcareproducts. 1. Mintpro L15 random orbital polisher 2. Menzerna medium cut polish 3. Collinite insulator wax 4. Bowden's fine clay bar 8 long hours but well worth it!

But oem from dealer is really expensive. I got mine from eBay. Something like this http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/141870712144 Installation is pretty easy takes 15-20 mins. No need to remove steering wheel just the airbag. (Search airbag removal here), all you need to do is switch the original module into the new paddles and put it back in.

But yes it's pretty expensive... The thing is the part itself comes with a module as well, which is a waste for us because we can't use it But in saying that, I love the look and feel of the paddles vs oem

Installation is very easy! No tools needed. Just pull straight and hard, and push the new ones in

Did he end up putting the decals on? I'd be interested to see how they look and to hear about how long they stay, before starting to peel or fragment...

Maybe if you look after it, it should be fine... ? However, still a skeptic here, I just completely detailed my car 2 weeks ago, there's so much contamination all over the car especially side skirt, despite me cleaning the car weekly. Personally I wouldn't do it, as over time the decals will fade.

So had my service today with BMS Autohaus. Having owned quite a few cars now... I'd have to say Barry at BMS Autohaus is right up there at the top with Paul V (Renault owners would know him).
Well I was very impressed with the FREE pickup and drop off service they provide (Pick up can be arranged between 7-10am and drop off before 530pm). I organised for a pick up at 10am, he came on time, serviced the car and dropped the car off at 3pm. As for servicing, it's only the 1st service, so it's pretty standard just oil and vehicle check. But very well priced compared with BMW. Highly recommended.

It was always going to come to this Wonder if it's better to get a new one or go to a panel beat which will cost like a couple of hundred.

Wow awesome car and great thread. It's awesome to watch the car progress. Looks like I need to get that front lip and some CF mirror caps for my personal M235

UPDATE NEW TUNE!!!
As mentioned 2 weeks ago, I returned the manhart system for a refund as it was faulty. Today I got a Flash tune! Got a OEtuning Flash tune from Stuart at BMR Autowerkes here in Sydney. First impressions is it's pretty amazing! The Torque! rolling pull from around 40km/h pulls really hard. The difference from stock and jb4 (in my mate's M135i) is pretty noticeable. It's very linear like stock which I like. Had it dyno'd as well. A faulty manhart (i think it was pulling stock number) did 219kw... The flash tune did 266kw! Car with only a cat-back exhaust. Stock downpipe.
