Mirror caps for Estoril Blue: carbon fiber or body color?
I've got a '16 estoril blue M235i with the orbit grey wheels and black kidney grilles. The silver mirror caps really don't go well with this color combo, and is an eye sore to me. I'm debating between the M performance carbon fiber caps (pricey) or possibly matching Estoril blue....
What do you guys think? I'd love to see pics of EB with your modded mirror caps! |

RW carbon is also a cheaper alternative for the mirrors. Why pay more for something that can be yanked off in a matter of seconds? I only thought that way cause I lived in NYC at the time, and I knew somebody whose MP spoiler literally got ripped off from his car in a public parking lot.

I bought EB II caps from a forum member's 428i. The whole family agrees it looks much better than the silver. I'm personally not a fan of the exposed CF trend and I think just the CF covers on the car looks odd - they would look better if there were other CF parts on the car. One downside of the EB covers is that the silver is an M Performance design point.

Good point, I don't have any other carbon fiber bits, so the CF might also be out of place.
ARTZTT, definitely interested in your caps, just sent you a message! |

I have carbon covers, hate the standard grey things.

I have the MPerformance carbon caps. And by the way, they are screwed in and cannot be popped off.

OP: my preference is for CF caps, especially if you also get a CF rear spoiler or CF grilles. Black is something else you may consider, especially if you're putting on black grilles. |

I went with gloss black, just to make your decision harder

Thread update: I went with body colored EB caps purchased from 2addicts user artzzt and I couldn't be happier, definitely gives the car a cleaner look!
