Rust in corner of door jam

Anyone else notice this on their car?

Seems like it's possibly an unpainted section of the door that has started to rust, or is it just built up filth?

I noticed it at lunch while I was at work today, will try to clean it as good as possible when I get home and update.

I don't think it's rust
My car has same material
Believe it to be a cosmoline type prep for shipping corrosion inhibition
Give me a few and I'll post pic of my car

Those look like two drops of moisture to me. Perhaps moisture running down the inside of the door and dropping there? Did you try to wipe it off with some quick detailer?

Our cars has some nasty oil inside the doors. My door started leaking these nasty grease out from that corner of the door. Looks gross

Normal bmw thing. My last 2 cars had this, as well as my current (although definitely not nearly as much)
