Installing an M235i MPE on a 228i before the break in period?
I ordered my Estroil Blue 6 speed manual m sport packaged 228i and i am currently waiting for it. I have the following question, ones i take delivery should i wait until after the break in period to install the M235 mpe i have planned to install on my 228i or can i install it within the break in period?
I have a feeling it will be fine to install it within the break in period because it is a port install option but at the same time i dont want to risk it if theres is a potential risk. Any comments pros or cons will be greatly appreciated. |

You won't be doing anything that will harm the engine during the break in period by replacing the catback, which is all the MPE really is. Just know the pipe sizes will be different and that will require some modification. But other than that no effect. I'm almost 100% sure. But I'm also sure that there will be some sniper on this forum to come in and contradict everything I just said because they are, well trolls. But put simply no issues that effect your break in period. You are correct to point out that it is a port installed product for the M235i.
