Me too. I've been driving for 39 years and don't ever recall being asked to race.

Too many BMWs around here for people to care. The only time people try to show out around me is another new BMW... usually a 428i because they got VTEC in them or something. I don't even bother.

For me, it must be the color (white) and being seen as a "little car" the minute I accelerate quickly, I have the usual collection of boneheads trying to beat me as from what I figured out, that they cannot image a little car beating their so called grown up rides!

Asshole teenage kid who lives down the street from me and drives an S5 his Daddy bought him, is constantly trying to take me on.

Gets up behind me and drops to second gear and revs repeatedly.

Beyond obnoxious.

Haven't had any of the postmodern stoplight "somethings" do that...but coming across bridge into my area there are couple of tight chicanes that when one is trailing too close or next to me, find that their suspension isn't up to going around the curves without braking.

NOT even speeding, just moving it around the corners, and it's done...put to bed for them. They seldom try to or wish to catch up. Does an old guy proud.

The only person I've had bother me was...wait for it....a Lexus hs250h....was quite funny. I usually ignore people and play with the car by myself..but I just couldn't pass that up.

Slightly off topic, but I was at a light with a RR Phantom and S550 (3 lanes). Apparently they wanted to race, so I let them race each other. Just so I could witness one of the most unlikely and awkward drag races of all time. I told the guy in the RR that we could trade at the next light, you cant be racing a tank around.

Garage List
I was driving a bit spiritedly in the city one day (it was winter as well so i didn't have real tires on and wasn't speeding or anything) and all the sudden this dodge caravan blasts past me 30-40 kph over the limit.

I got the last laugh, as there was a marked speed camera 30 feet in front of me.

Flash-bang. He gave me a huge finger at the next light to lol... Idiot

I think because I work in an area with so many luxury cars (I see Porsche, S class Audis, AMG Mercs, sometimes an Aston or Ferrari) that I really haven't been challenged on the roads. I love it though because I keep up with the V8 coupes and there seems to be a mutual respect. I've gotten out of the way when a Jag or something wants to barrel past but they've also gotten out of my way whenever I want to blast by.

Now those Camero and Challenger drivers though....they see my taillights often.

I got left in the dust by what looked to be a Suzuki Wagon R. Wide open throttle, both cars and nope. Im assuming (hoping) it wasn't stock or i want my money back. But even so, god only knows what it had to be running.

Edit: the road was empty and backed off pretty quickly

Agreed. True hooligan stuff should be on the track.

I was on a largely wide, quiet stretch of highway last weekend (4 lanes) and had an E46 M3 come up and toy with me. We just did some minor pulls with each other and based on my torque, I would guess I'd have no problem eating him. Minutes later a Lambo pulled up behind me. He sounded insanely nasty. Even so, we did a few minor pulls (50-80 stuff) and I kept up the entire time. You could tell he was surprised and likely had no idea of what I was driving.

Of course on a track or fully winded out, he would have eaten me. Still it's nice to know this little beast can generally keep up with some high-end exotics...for about 1/4 the price.
