Just got my torque setup running tonight, couple questions. My coolant and transmission temp appear to be the same sensor.Anyone else notice this? Also the oil pressure is not listed, does it not exist?

Not all sensors are available, unfortunately. I've not tried the trans temp, just coolant & oil.

Googling around, there are some mini OBD2 bluetooth adapters out there with power buttons. Here's one:

Not an F22, but I leave a cheap BT dongle plugged into my Range Rover all the time. It does not make a measureable difference in current draw with my digital meter that reads in 10th of an amp. I've left the truck sitting for weeks at a time with no issues.

Love that orange theme (4th screenshot for Torque).

I've only downloaded the free version of Torque so far.
Are there pre-made themes like the orange one available in the pro version, or do you have to place all the widgets and color them to your liking piece by piece?

Is it possible to get boost pressure readings on this? Will the intake manifold pressure reading act as the boost reading?

How are you getting such great looking themes in Torque Pro? I have it, but all my themes do is change the bezel. My actual dials and text stay the same boring font as default.

***edit***
Nevermind, I answered my own question. They're theme packs from the Google Play store (for Pro or Free).

Right -- there are some free ones, such as this one, and I then decided to buy their combined huge theme bundle, Ignition for $5.99.

Purchased the isaddle bluetooth adapter in the link, but unfortunately it wouldn't work for me. It would connected via bluetooth, but could not talk to the ECU. It would say no ECU is available and am I sure the car is on. Has anyone else experienced issues with these units?

I'm sending the unit back to Amazon. Debating on reordering and trying my luck again or finding an alternative. Has anyone had luck with other units?

I bought the ScanTool 427201 OBDLink LX Bluetooth due to some Amazon credits.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It works great and no battery drain worries. More money then most though.

This is probably a really good idea. Can you confirm that it's showing the oil temp? Apparently some of the cheap Chinese ones aren't .

I have both the iSaddle and OBDLink LX and neither show oil temp.I don't know how your cars gets oil temp Monoblock.

BTW: the only noticeable difference between the two adapters is that the max PID readings are twice the speed on the OBDLink LX. About 30 for iSaddle and about 60 for OBDLink....this is besides the fact that the OBDLink goes to sleep and that the iSaddle remains active even when the car is off.

Do you have a 2014 or 2015 228i?

I have manufactured in Nov '14 "2015" 228i xDrive MSport. Only package is Driving assist.

I have an April 2014 228i M-Sport with Premium and nothing more.

Augerpro also has a 2015 without oil temp. Maybe a cutoff month..!?

Thanks for posting the magnetic vent mount! I ordered one to replace a somewhat clunky cup holder phone mount.

I'm still debating this dongle thing, but really do like the idea of having some way to monitor engine temps when pushing things...
