Locking the center armrest in place
This is really the only tiny little thing that bothers me about the car. Everything else is perfect or damn near close.
Has anyone figured out a way to lock the armrest of the center console in place so that it can't shift forwards and backwards? I just want it to always be in the normal position, that is not shifted forward. I find mine moves around whenever I'm parallel parking which is quite often and quite annoying. |

I don't know if it's the fact that I literally took possession of my car today or if I just don't really dig my arm into it, but I've found that it doesn't move without at least a little bit of effort.
Does yours move or slide barely touching it? |

Heh, I'm the opposite...I like to have it forward all the time and it actually stays there pretty well, but it does move backwards every now and then.

If it weren't for the thick USB cable I have snaking out of there that jams it up a bit, there would be even less resistance and the armrest would be even more movable. When I bring the car in for my first service I'm going to ask if they can permanently jam it somehow.

I have the same problem. Noticed it within the first two days of picking it up. Very annoying.

Mine is able to feed between the lid and the actual console, however it is incredibly tight. I've noticed that with the cable moving that it is rubbing the white rubber material of the (iPhone) cable. There's traces of it in the gap where the console and lid meet and there's a noticeable divot in the cable. Still works but I just ordered a braided cable to be on the safe side.

Side note, I like the lid forward because I have a MT and I'm constantly resting/leaning on it in between shifts. However, when I yank the E-brake up to park, it actually makes contact with the lid and opens the console. It's forced me to be a little more careful when engaging the E-brake when parking to not yank, frustrating.

I noticed the armrest thing for the first time today when I had to exit the vehicle and the thing slid back. I just figured it's going to be a characteristic thing. I understand how you feel about having some sort of lock. I know other cars where they offer a sliding center armrest, you have to squeeze.
