OEM factory exhaust vs Performance Exhaust sound comparison
Good morning y'all, I finally had the chance to replace my factory exhaust with the PE. I took a couple of videos with my GoPro and merged them to one for you to check the sound comparison in case someone is interested (select 1080p so the sound comes out more clear).
I'm very very happy with the change , I used the carbon fiber tips, it combines better with my mineral grey imo. For me was a much higher investment due to my location, I had to pay international shipping and taxes, etc , BUT, I'm glad I did it. Note: the car was warm on both videos. Any questions, feel free to ask. Cheers |

Very interesting. Really takes the whine away at high rpm which I like. "Sounds" like less restriction to me.

Yep, I had the chance to kind of "test" it on an open road this Saturday and felt a little improvement on acceleration. I haven't tested it fully yet since my car is has only 500kms (like 310miles) and my local BMW dealer suggested that I should not push it above 4,000 rpms until I get to 2,000Kms (like 1200miles).

Thanks for posting up the videos, it sounds much better IMO with the performance exhaust. I have not seen a before and after video from inside the cabin of the car. What is your take on the sound differences from the inside?

I'm not gonna lie to you G-mann, our cars are so hermetic that inside the cabin with windows up, you will hear the sound of the PE but not too much. With windows down, that's another story.

How easy or hard is it to install a M-Sport exhaust on a 235 ?
Is it strictly unbolt clamps or do you need an exhaust/pipe cutter? Are there gaskets for the junction points? Or do you use tube gasket compound? |
