Help choose a wheel for winter setup. Can anyone photoshop the wheels on a estroil blue m235i?

I tried that. The black ones totally disappear against the black tire. You can't really see the detail of the wheel.

Monte Titanium. Why? Two reasons:
1) Titanium looks much nicer on EB. 2) 5 Spoke design will be much easier to clean the crud / snow / salt out of than the more detailed versions. In my opinion, keep the nicer designs for summer tires/looks.

I'm also hunting CL for used BMW OEM wheels for winter sets as well. They tend to be much cheaper than new stuff and fairly hardy/sturdy.

I want 17 inch and square setup for winter. I had it on my 135i and it worked great.

I'm just going with Nokian Hakka R2's in 225/40/18 on the OEM wheels. That way I can get a set of 19s for summer.
Having 3 sets of wheels for the car just seemed a bit much to me. |

Thanks for the response. I had configured it on tire rack as well, just a little nervous about the brake clearance even when it says it will fit since ordering online. I will likely get the titanium ones based on the opinions others have shared.

I just ordered these, which they also test fit and know work with the blue caliper MSport brakes. I am wrapping them with 215/50-17 Blizzak WS80 after reading tirerack.com's recent test where it beat the Michelin X-Ice-xi3.

Awesome. I thought about those but liked the darker rims to hide the dirt.

As a guy who has driven a LOT in winter and snow, avoid split spoke rims. Snow packs in and unbalances the tire.
Also, listen to the postings about Nokian and WS80 tires. |

Good advice. I am leaning towards the single spoke for easy cleaning but do like the titanium double spoke look

Have a look at this one which is very similar to the 235 OEM.
It even has a small rectangular space for the M badge !!! http://www.replika.ca/productinfo.as...n=hyper+silver Last edited by Béhème; 09-24-2014 at 05:59 AM.. |

Slightly off-topic, but after seeing your post I went looking for that test. All I could find is the below link, which is reporting on a "demonstration" hosted by Blizzak, not an independent evaluation done by Tire Rack. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...y.jsp?ttid=191 |
