Will 225 45 18" tires...
Fit on my staggered set of M235 wheels? Looking to change out for the winter. I bought a brand new set of winters for my F30 and no linger have the car. Was wondering if those winter tires will fit on to the M235 rims. Thanks.

Technically you'd want to run a 225/40/18 tire for the 235, so the 225/45/18 will be 22.5mm taller.
But it could work at stock ride height, I dont know for sure as we've never tested that. |

Yes they will fit fine.
I run 225/45/18 winters on my stock staggered wheels with no issues and my car is lowered quite a bit. I actually went with that size for extra ground clearance in the snow. |

Good thread!
Chris, any drawbacks to doing this? Like will the front tires rub at all? Demetrius, let me know how it works out for you. I'm thinking of doing the same for extra ground clearance, didn't think about it before, but its a good idea! |

Only time l get rubbing is when the wheels wells fill up with packed snow, and my car is low. I snowboard 5 days a week in the winter and works great for me.

What are the particular tyres and wheel sizes with offset that you are using? I'm assuming they are rubbing somewhere, where is that? I've run 225/45-18 winter tyres on 18x8 ET45 wheels for over 10,000km with no rubbing.

Just throw 10mm spacers on an you'll clear without rubbing.
