My Arctic Silver 235
I just picked this up. I love this car.
My previous cars: 996.1 997.1 997.1 gt3 I also race in IMSA for a BMW ST car team. I love so much about this car right off the show room floor. I cant wait to learn more about this car! How do I get my in car garage door opener to work? I had the dealer program it but it did not work |

Looks verrrrrry nice! BTW, it's not arctic silver. It's glacier silver. If you had posted this a week ago I may have switched from Grey but too late now in production. Congrats. Ahh, don't think we can help you with the garage opener. I bet you it wasn't programmed properly. Depending on your garage, you may be able to program it using your remote or you may need to use the actual base in your garage. First step is to determine what your garage opener model is and then look up the homelink instructions. It's pretty much standard on all cars that have these universal remote openers so it's nothing special for BMW. Please post more photos. We're lacking on good ones. |

looks great. surprised they didn't match the silvers on the body and mirrors though? if the garage door thing is anything like the one on my wife's 328, it can be finicky and require several button presses before it works.

Looks great congrats. On the garage check the manual your door falls into one of two categories. Some you just need first few steps holding remote next to home link. If that doesn't work there's an extra step to press learn button on opener and hit button on home link again. Pretty simple.

That's a thing of beauty, I have the same car on the way to the port. GS, Coral Red with manual at least yours looks like Coral Red in those photos.

I got brushed aluminum also. How about some more pictures when you get a chance.

Congrats on your M235i! Nice list of previous cars too!
I had trouble with the garage door opener too (I have the rolling code type of opener). After a bit of trial and error, I was able to get it working with these steps: 1. Hold the 1 and 3 buttons on the mirror until the light on the mirror flashes rapidly to reset any existing codes 2. Take your garage opener's remote and hold it a couple inches away from your mirror and hold the button on your remote (for the door you want to open) at the same time as the button you want to use it with on your mirror. Hold this until the light on the mirror changes (I can't remember if it goes solid or blinks rapidly). 3. Go to your garage opener and look for the learn button and push it. Within 30 seconds or so, get to your car and hold down the button you were pushing in step 2 for a few seconds (repeat as often as needed until your garage opener responds). |

It wasn't obvious to me in the video/manual or maybe I'm just not good with instructions, but you HAVE to do the programming *attempt* with the remote first to actually program it with the garage if you have a rolling code opener. I was attempting it without the remote since I was used to doing that with some of my other cars, so it wasn't working in that case with this car.

Nope, wheels are darker although the colour shares the same name. BMW failed on this one but the lucky devils with glacier silver (looks fantastic btw) won't notice this.
Ditto on more pics please. Such a classic German combo needs a good photo shoot!!
