You've convinced me, and I ordered these for my MW M235. I installed similar grills on my F30 and it was a PIA. I'm trying to decide whether I'll cut the stock grill or have the dealer install them. $87USD + tax is what they quoted me for the install, and I could have the stock grills back.

I had mine fitted to my car by the garage, and they have managed to scratch all the way around the inside of bodywork doing so. Just picked up the car today and it's going back in tomorrow to get it sorted. I think they rushed them in this morning as they forgot to install them before pick up day.

Yeah I made sure I got to keep the originals since they were fitted in the garage. Haven't had a look at them yet to see if the clips are all still in place.

Stock grilles are worth what? $100 maybe? If they charge you almost that to do the install and you're afraid they'll f*ck it all up, if you feel comfortable with the cut / remove / install I'd personally go that route.

FYI this is the pick tool I saw used to remove these (or something very similar). Going to order these if I go the DIY route. Supposed to make it a lot easier / eliminate need to cut to gain access.

I have a Spring remover for my motorcycle kickstands that look similar to the Stanley tools you linked too. I'm wondering if you have a tool long enough you can release the clips by going through the front of the slants. Are there 9 clips to release for each grill? I see in one video after you pull them out you have an inner black piece that needs to be removed from the stock grills and put onto the new ones. Is this also true?

I have ordered mine for my alpine white 235 with black. I also looked into tinting but I feel as you do it is dark enough already. I think I will have my local Indy put them in. Yours looks great congratulatuions.

Agree with most that just cutting up one of the stock grills to get it out might be the easiest and quickest way to go. Was hoping it would be easy enough to get them out intact so I can play a little with the Gray Plasti-Dip to see how they would look on the MG. Waiting for the new grills to come in to see the exact location of the tabs before I start trying to take them off.
