My guess is that we will see HUD on the M2

Yeah, they want to make you hunger for a 4 series. They always want to keep you looking up in their line up.

Everyone c0mplains about weight on BMWs, then they want to add all sorts of stuff one doesn't need - such as HUD.

In theory I guess it could be valuable on a track or something with rev counter and other real time data, but for street driving it can be annoying just more stuff bouncing around and taking my focus off the road. I don't like blind spot assist for the same reason, if I am minding my own business in my lane I don't need lights going off in my peripheral vision. Still miss my first S4 (2002.5) which was the last car I had that didn't try to help me drive in some way.

It was on a 3 series loaner I had and it's actually pretty nice not having to look down to see how much your breaking the speed limit. If they put it on a 328 they could sure offer it on an M235.

This has nothing to do with the 3 series and everything to do with the 4. It's bad enough that the 2 series completely out performs the 4 in acceleration and handling thanks to its lighter weight and dimensions. Offering the HUD on the 235 would just be adding insult to injury.
