It will, because it will be higher volume than 1M, needs to offer auto or DCT

Very hot render, a mix of actual 1M and F20 and probably would look better than both (well kind of easy to look better than existing F20 models anyway).

If M2 comes anything like this, then they have to give it a well finished side creases (real opening maybe) and a unique trunk lid too and maybe a CF roof as an option (not that I matter but since they have all the time and budget this time around...

Looks good, just make it weight 1400kg and put 3-3.5L inline six engine with magnesium-aluminium block and engine weigth only 160-170kg maybe less. Power 300-350bhp 7000-7500rpm. Porsche 991 is NA, why Bmw can´t make that?

Before somebody says FI is better engine, yes some car. NA engine don´t need turbos, intecoolers etc. N55-engine weigth 190kg whit magnesium-aluminium block, M52 with aluminium block only 160kg. M3 F80 need turbos to get over 400bhp, but M2 don´t if they make it weigth allmost same than e30 M3.

Mark my words; the M2 and X4 will become BMW top sellers. Great size, weight, gas mileage and prices that the other models won't be able to complete with. Both represents the perfect platforms.
