Pro active part upgrade
Hi There,
I just bought my leased 2020 m240i so I can go to town on it now. The 1st mods I want to do is the same thing I did with my Miata. Replace all the part that are known to fail or of low quality that have way better alternative in the aftermarket. For my Miata it was things like the coolant tank, filter box, shifter bushing etc.... Not necessarily big or expensive mods but ones that are reliable and give me peace of mind knowing my car is in a better state to go the distance. Do you have any recommendations for the 2020 m240i? Also, I ordered the MHD OBD adapter and will purchase the super license for a stage 1 tune together with a xhp trans tune. Any advice and do's and don't you can share from personal experience? Thank you! |

DON'T gaze at it longingly from a distance These are quite reliable motors. Watch your coolant tank levels (check every 2-3 months if daily driven). Not everyone is affected but often just replacing the reservoir caps is enough to keep the missing coolant gremlin at bay. |
