Power Fold Mirrors...............

Is there a way you can activate this function without using the door control? I mean, can it be automatically done when switching the ignition on?

I believe you can code the mirrors to fold when you lock the car and unfold when you unlock it using Bimmercode.

I have a 2020 F87 and coded this in, they fold when you use the lock button on the fob and unfold when you unlock. If thing's haven't changed too much between years then I'd guess that it will work for you via coding (I used Bimmercode).

To the OP, there's several Youtube videos online for coding to your specific needs.

Coding is best solution IMO . If for some reason you don't feel like it try holding lock on your fob for few seconds to fold when locking I don't recall if it unfolds when unlocking or you need to hold the unlock button give it a try
