2020 M240i xdrive wheel/tire setup ???
Looking at these 19inch wheels
https://www.fitmentindustries.com/bu...isano-19x85-35 With the Conti extreme contact sport tires in a 245/35zr19 squared. Would this set up work ? I'm looking at something wider than the stock 225. I'm willing to do staggered if possible. Just want the rear tires to be wider. I'm stock suspension. |

No, the 35 offset will put them too far "out" (ie close to fender) and leave some wasted room between tire and suspension. They might rub against fender on bumps unless you change your camber to tint the tops of the tires in and away from the fenders. You might get away with it if you pick a tire that is known to be less wide than other brands. But if you pick a tire that runs wider than most it might rub a lot.
It looks like those come in +45 offset. If I were you I'd get the +45 offset which will be perfect for the rears and use a 5mm spacer for the fronts (which will change the offset to 40) which is perfect for the fronts. |

Hmmm so it's possible but with a higher offset. I'm so confused on 19 inch wheels that I might just stay with 18s. I don't want to compromise my driving experience. The car will be stock suspension. Just wanted to look a tad more aggressive. Its my first bmw so I've been on this forums for hours trying to learn as much as I can.

19s will require a smaller sidewall aspect ratio (the middle number in the tire number). So there will be a smaller sidewall and you will feel a rougher ride. They look better, but ride rougher.
If you're worried about the ride or live in an area with bad roads I'd go with 18s |

TrboMike is for the most part right.
FWIW, I am running 19x8 et40+10mm spacer for actual et30 with 225/35/19 tires, and no rub. Out back I am running 19x9 et44+10mm space for actual et 34 with 225/30/19 tires, no rub. Stock suspention of course. My point? They may fit with the right tire, as TurboMike said. Add some camber, roll front fenders, etc. and your options open up. With that said, I will echo the recommendation of going with 18's over 19's. I don't totally regret the 19's, but I do wish I had a set of 18's to run on a more daily basis. Thanfully, I don't really daily my car.... Good luck with your search either way. It can be exhausting, but it is one of my fav mods on my car. josh |

Yea wheels and tires are an amazing mod. I had my old q50 and I blacked it out with some niche wheels 255/40/19 and omg the car looked and performed better. I have my Firebird transam and looking for tires and wheels was a pain but not like this 2series omg.
I might end up staying with 18s since I do like driving spirited. I'm thinking hopefully a 245/35/18 squared. Hope I don't have a huge wheel gap. The stock run flats are a 40 series but look very thin (I'm assuming it's because it's a run flat.) Love the look of 19s but I'm not going to mess with the suspension or mess something up. It's my first European car lol |

Running 18's and 245 square is very doable. Many on this forum run that set up and I agree for spirited driving (roads here suck donkey nono) 18's will be more planted and not beat the car as much as 19's will. I plan to sell my BBS and get a set of Apex Racing FL-5 wheels in 18x8.5 et35 when they are available again (a few months away). There are two M235i's near me running 18's, and I think they look really good. I may keep my BBS for show, and run 18's for daily driving. Cheers! josh |
