No Signal Message
I have had my 2020 M240i for 1 month. I started my car today and received "No Signal" message on the idrive screen. To get the message to disappear I had to turn off car and take key out of car, lock it and walk away. When I came back a few minutes later, and re-started the car the message had disappeared.
Has anyone ever had this happen? What needed to be done to correct it and stop it from happening again? Any ideas on what might have caused this error? |

That's wild because this happened to me today after I did some BimmerCode work and I thought I had messed something up. Maybe BMW servers are down?

The control display isn't getting a signal from the head unit. Did you have any bluetooth devices paired when this occurred? If so try un-pairing bluetooth device and seeing if fault happens again. Make sure paired bluetooth device has latest software updates. If fault persist without any bluetooth devices paired take vehicle in to service.

I called BMW Connected support today and was told they are working on a known outage. The person I spoke with wasn't too heavy on details and sounded a bit shaky in her knowledge, but if her report is accurate, it sounds like BMW online is down.

My 2014 has done this about 2 or 3 times in 5.5 years, always when extremely cold outside (-30). Would always turn back on a minute later without any input.

talked to the lead service tech at the dealership, and was told that it was a known issue, and that it was a glitch with the head unit as many of you have stated, they said if it happens I can bring it in and they will do a software update.
