Fineline Wood Trim with Black Upholstery
I wasn't sure whether I'd like the Fineline Wood trim with black leather interior but now that I have the car I love the combination. I thought I'd post a picture in case others are thinking about the selection.

Same thing in a black-on-black car. Much nicer than the aluminum options.

I have fineline, dealership even called me and asked me if I wanted to change it because they thought it was a mistake?
I guess fineline isn't popular these days. |

Instead of ordering one my dealer found me my car at a different dealership with the only change from my build being the fineline wood instead of the aluminum. Just picked the car up today and I'm not disappointed. Pictures make it look brighter than it is.

I'm guessing not so many people order Fineline. When I went in to pick up my car my CA was telling me how she called everyone in to look at the interior when it arrived since it's not so common. She said they loved it. Of course, what's a CA supposed to say?

Thanks for getting a 6MT OP. Need that option to sell in order to keep it around.

I actually always wanted a BMW with aluminum trim because all of my parents Bimmers always had wood. I wanted something clean, sporty, and European. Something that reminded me of the early-mid 2000s BMW brochures. I recall them mostly showing off aluminum trims in M cars and stuff like 320d. So I'm glad I got aluminum.
And all of the automatic shifters with plastic surrounds along with the fineline trim looked like crap. But this one with the leather shift boot looks AMAZING! OP, sweet car and thanks for ordering a 6 speed! As a side note, my favorite BMW interior of all time is the e39 m5 caramel with bruyere club wood. But.... Something about the aluminum looks very German, clean and minimalist....I guess I like both.

I actually went in assuming that I wanted aluminum too. Mainly because I felt that wood is an old person's trim. I do like both, just think that fineline looks the best to my eye. Ultimately I'm going to get the MP trim. To each his own. we all have pretty sweet rides.
