I tried to search this thread but don't know the correct terms to use...
I'm running E-SYS 3.28.1 with Launcher 2.71.135. Car is a 2018 M2 (F87). I read the FA and the SVT from the Coding screen, and then read the NCD files. I then disconnected from the car, and made duplicate copies of all of the above. I now want to go in and edit the NCD to make some changes (went back in the house to look up exactly what I wanted to do, planned to make the changes in the house then go back to the car to write them in). I load up the FA and SVT files, go to an ECU I want to edit, right click the CAFD section, choose "New > FDL" and load in the correct NCD file. (All of this is working as expected and matches what I see in the video in the first post.) I then right click the FDL/CAFD entry and choose Edit FDL, which kicks me over to the edit screen... but all of the individual entries there have no descriptions. So looking at FEM_BODY, have the FDL open in E-Sys, and the screen has bunches of periods / dots where I would normally expect a description to be. Is this normal? Doesn't seem like it based on the intro video... See the screenshot below/attached.

Two things:
1) can someone please PM me the link to the most up to date software for my car - 2018 M2. I think I need both the large file with the car software and the actual program. 2) Is it possible to code service related items? My car had the break in service on ED but it’s never been coded. So launch control doesn’t work and the car keeps pestering me to take it in. I don’t really want to because it’s an invitation for someone to joyride my car “per customer request” to see if LC works. |

80GB PSdZ Full only needed if you plan to program. 2.5GB lite is more than adequate for coding. Service does not require coding. You can reset using hidden cluster menu. |

I did select F87 from the launcher, it's been the only thing I've ever had selected (I'm posting over here because there are so few M2s but I know to choose the correct model code for my car ). When I took the laptop back out to the car and used it while connected, everything was showing up correctly. Maybe I need a newer version of launcher or should be using an older version of E-SYS?
I was able to enable european parking light feature (yay!), but couldn't get the comfort turn-signal setting up to my desired 5 repeats. "werte=4" was setting, but when I Coded it, it didn't seem to function correctly.

Pretty sure there is some process they run through to change it over to the normal service intervals and enable LC. Guessing you could do it with Rheingold (ISTA+), don't know if that's something that E-Sys can do though...

Wait, what? Which is it -- are you saying he just needs to try again, or are you saying BMW updated the firmware in the car and that the number of blinks from a soft-touch on the stalk can no longer be changed?

Turns out LC is activated, but the service itself still shows. So the service needs to be deleted or checked off somehow. <shrug> I'll just keep resetting it until I take it in for the next normal service.

Turn signals apparently just can't be changed on newer cars (with newer firmware). I can do 1 blink or 3 and that's it.

Can you point me at further information around "deleting or remoting 'kiswb' that I am not using"? I am not sure what "kiswb" are or how I would "remote" them (or delete, if they aren't just files...)
