Can you provide a link to the Bimmerworld bearing kit?

Definitely a raw, solid feeling and half as much as the Dinan option. I would recommend them. |

Did anyone do this control arm upgrade on F22 and find that the inner tie rod was a little short. Mine looks like it does not have a lot of grip due to longer control arm. Is this a concern for those who have run it a while? Should the inside tie rod be replaced with a longer unit from the M2/M3? Thanks

Anyone out there who could chime in? Edit: Called Turner Motorsport and spoke to Doug. He says they've installed these to countless cars and never had a problem getting it aligned, or had knowledge of problems related to tie rod ends reported later.

What's the bottom line on LCA + TS?
And on the spacers? Is everyone doing all 3? or only some people are getting noise after only doing the LCA? I'm looking to get the LCA and I don't think I need the TS. re:shims, I can probably ask my garage to put them in if the fit isn't quite right. I wil probably get something like this: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...31122284529kt/ once I work out who I'm going to buy them through. |

Cheaper alternative from Lemforder, an OE supplier to BMW
F8x Tension Struts @ ~ Ł137/pr + spacers at ~Ł10/both sides https://m.buycarparts.co.uk/lemforder/9664287 F8x LCA @ ~ Ł104/pr https://m.buycarparts.co.uk/lemforder/9664290 Makes the F8X arms upgrade a no brainer IMHO.....BP

what impact does the LCA and TS mod have on noise vibration and harshness?
I have shied away from camber plates because I understand they are "noisy". I do a very few HPDE and Autox on re71's but mostly cruise around on MPSS4 and love the ride. dont want to screw that up. |

I do these things in a heart beat but:
1) I don't like how they shift the position of the wheel around. 2) A shim/spacer is needed to make them work. 3) There is some concern that the camber puts stress on the strut hat bearing and causes it to fail prematurely. In the spring I'll be running 245/35R18s MPS4S in the front with a higher load rating than stock. I'm hopeful the extra width and higher load rating (i.e, stiffer sidewall) will help with some of outer tread block wear.

As far as "noise" goes, there's nothing that you should hear from the LCA/TS mod, imo. The top hats/camber plates are a tough one, though. Seems the only way to avoid the "clicking" noises is to go with a full coilover/camber plate combo. The factory designed strut and mount configuration do not allow for ideal camber plate designs/bearings. Seems every option to be used along with factory struts, make noise, unfortunately. I'm running KW coilovers w/KW plates and there's no audible noise and have been running these for the entire year, DD'ing on the street for the most part. Hope that helps!

For the 18x9's, they're et42, and I run a 7.5mm spacer up front to clear the spring perch and external damping reservoirs. Running no more than -2.0* camber, though, usually closer to -2.5 to -3.0* when using the track wheels/tires. On the street I run the OEM 624M 19's and they also do not rub, but are a bit narrower (8" & 8.5"). Hope that helps!

How on earth do you have the wheels sticking out 10mm more, 255s instead of 225s and still not rub? Does the extra camber make that much difference? My front fenders are completely bent... my height for reference

There are a few, here, running 9.5" and 265's without major issue, maybe just a fender pull and liner trim?

My fenders are already pulled and extra bent, it's really noticeable from the front, and the front corners of both my fenders have been both bent out sharply

I have the LCA’s installed on my M235i for 2 years now but i notice uneven tire wear on the inside. Is that because of the camber and because the control arm is longer? How to fix this?
