I ask because I think it's more important to actually improve the car's performance than to simply make it look cooler. You know, because of the whole poseur issue. :-) (And I absolutely love your M3 track car. Perfect.

Bingo! Thanks for the fantastic info, Eddy. I'm in the SF area, so when it's time to upgrade from the OEM wheels on my M235i (after I get it next year) I'll be calling Apex. PS-7 in Satin Black, will use stretched OE tires until they're toast, then whatever Michelin PSS sizes will fit on the staggered 18x8.5 / 18x9.5 setup on dead-stock suspension without throwing the odo/speedo off too much.

9.5" wheels fit with the right offset. The 2 series and 1 series have unique offsets in the rear, so no 3 series wheel off the shelf fits properly in 9 or 9.5" sizes. In my previous post I mentioned the 58mm offset EC-7 that visually looks identical to the wheel in the original post, it's just 9.5" wide instead of 8.5" wide, and can fit a 265 extreme summer tire without rubbing on a stock or lowered car.

Great car & great photos. Which exhaust are you going for? & have you checked out BCS Powervalve they do a full system for the M235i. I'm waiting to get a sports cat downpipe fitted there.

I think the one who could choose to be offended is Apex.
Here they have a great product, one you use and are presumably happy with, and Apex even chimed in on your thread with lots of helpful analysis - and yet you want to hide that fact and make people think you're running BBS's. That's just lame, and insulting to Apex. Take the sticker off. Better yet, put the Apex caps on and give them their due respect. |

That statement was in reference to Apex posting on these forums. They use these forums to put their name out there. That is why they pay to sponsor the board. I never said you couldn't voice your opinion about his stickers. But your point about him giving Apex their due? That's pure garbage. He paid for his wheels. He can do whatever the hell he wants with them. He doesn't have to do anything for Apex. And if they are offended, that is dumb of them. Obviously they're fine with this.

I respect Apex's class for staying completely silent on the BBS sticker topic.
Apex's incredibly informative posts on wheel and tire sizing likely generated a customer in me. After I use of the original tires, I'll likely replace the wheels with precisely what they advised. |

Nieue - I have BCS sports cat DP on my M135i c/w MPE rear box. Engine is more responsive [even in stock or bypass maps on my JB4] and adds more character to MPE tone. All good. PD.
