Is this in an update required to iDrive? I've not been able to find any indication of an oil temp gauge in the vehicle settings...

No update required, AFAIK. Looks like it was part of a package, shown here:

My seats recline, have flappers to open and close the side bolsters, a movable lumbar support, an extendible thigh support, a function to warm my tush. They're not quite as comfortable as my Laz-Z-Boy, but even that one needs work.

Mine too. One of the handful of reasons I turned down a TT was that the BMW's seats just had more of everything. As a place to look at, the Audi's interior trumps pretty much everything - but to sit and feel, 2nd place.

The BMW HVAC system is remarkably flexible and tailorable once you understand how it works. Amazes me how many people gripe about the dash vent temp adjustment, for example. Particularly that first-class Internet Idiot, Doug DeMuro.

I finally remembered to check my car, and there are two sensors on each side of the car, front and rear. Also, the parking display indicates, with red patches, when the car is too close to objects on its sides. It may be, however, that the side sensors are not aimed to detect curbs, even though they can detect walls, people, or columns. It would be great if someone has the details on this. |

The complaint about mine is the "cracking" of the seat lower frame when making settle moves which has been mentioned before on this forum |

The gas pedal is up close while the clutch pedal goes all the way down. At every shift I have my right leg contorted whilst my left leg fully extended. Which means I have to place my seat closer than I am comfortable with.
No one makes a clutch block to even the pedals out. |

Update: Just looked at the ordering guides for 2018 and 2019 and the "Instrument cluster with extended contents" was part of the premium pkg for 2018 but now standard for 2019. The Universal garage door opener, however, was moved from the 2018 M Sport pkg to the 2019 premium pkg. Since I don't have the premium pkg, had to get a Chamberlain universal garage opener remote controller from Amazon.

Hi folks, I'm new here and have learned all sorts of interesting stuff. Nothing to hate, I love my 2018 M240i xDrive Cabrio Alpine white/Coral red. But I have a few nitpicks, mostly things missing that shouldn't be in a $60K car these days:
1. No tire pressure sensors, only the flat tire monitor. Really BMW? 2. No blind spot monitor. It would be especially helpful for the convertible. 3. No adaptive cruise control but it is available on the 230i. Strange. 4. No sync button for the climate control. 5. The Dakota leather is not impressive IMO, no option to upgrade the leather. |
