Don't post info about your F22 here!
Everyone: Please see this thread for the VIN decoder I need you to use, and other info I need, to try to figure this radiator thang out.
I have enough info for the following users: scrape1, Viffermike (me), Thescout13, and Killramos. Everyone else: please see the thread linked to above. THANKS!

So why do you guys call these Aux Radiators? I've looked at several exploded engine diagrams for the BMW 2 series. On one side is the intercooler for the turbo, on the other side seems to be a cooling unit for transmission fluid. None of the diagrams showed an "Aux Radiator."

On the N20, the intercooler is directly below the primary coolant radiator. All F22s with M Sport bodywork (N20 and N55) have what we're calling an 'aux radiator' on the passenger side of the car and the intercooler. What some cars also have - and some don't - is a second 'aux radiator' on the driver's side of the car and the intercooler. Judging from the hoses and their routing, these radiators are not for transmission fluid; they are for coolant. What I'm trying to determine is why some cars get the second aux radiator and some don't. So far, there isn't a solid, predictable determining factor in terms of equipment or engine type.
