They have started to make initial ideas practical but we are still a long way away.

I'd be impressed if BMW came up with a 4-cylinder FI engine that puts out more power than what's in the CLA 45 AMG. Maybe if it was a 2.5 L 4-cylinder.

I was leaning toward AW or Red, but, I love the way this looks, in a picture, I'll have to go to a dealer and check out the color in person.

In Person
Saw a red M235i today on the Garden State Parkway in NJ getting off the exit to go to the headquarters. Only things masked were the roundel and the model number.
But sorry guys, didn't get my phone out fast enough. All I can say is that it looks better in person. Slightly smaller than my E46. Also for the M2 naysayers. This was in the November 2013 R&T or C&D: |

all black 2-er looks dope, just as expected though!
personally i'm leaning towards the "Anniversary Evo" wheels by Hamann, they're like the best multi spoke design i ever saw. F20 already has them in 19". by the way, there are lots of dope pictures in the thread lately. |

yeah I have to say, it made my commute more enjoyable. Btw the rear looks much better in person. The only things that I don't like about the car will probably be cleared up with the M2 (electric steering/variable steering). Would also be nice to get the car without idrive. CSL?

M2 ?
Wonder how long we will have to wait to find out officially if an M2 will come to fruition. Seems the M235 fills a nice niche but leaves 50hp and wide body work on the table for an M2.........better start saving now

I completely agree that an M2 should have a 4 cylinder with nearly 350hp, being lighter would fit the bill and give a slight perf advantage over the M235. With Merc building an IMPRESSIVE 4 banger, seems BMW should answer that with something other than a 240hp 4 puck. Lighter is better
