How does one remove the air curtain covers? Any other parts required? My are blocked off on my 2016 M235 6MT, Midwest delivery car (Kansas City) in Feb 2016.

Just pop them off and Dremel the holes open, problem solved! Or if someone could provide a part#, would be even better...

Dremel what holes? On my M235, the air curtains on the bumper cover are closed off with a black piece of plastic, but within the front wheel wells, the air curtain vents are open. So, to me it looks like the only thing I'd need to do is pop out the black pieces in the front portion of the bumper.

My highly uneducated guess; The air curtain creates a 'curtain' of air that goes over the face of the wheel reducing turbulence and thus drag. The aux coolers exhaust their hot air inside the wheel well, ahead of the front wheel. With the air curtain in place this hot air can not exhaust easily away from the vehicle possibly reducing the effectiveness of the the aux coolers. Obviously if there is no aux cooler the air curtain can remain in place with no effect on cooling performance.
Also turbulent air around the wheels aids in brake cooling. |

All you need is a VIN # from a vert, and order them. Probably less than 20-30ea, my guess..
