But maybe some stretch on the 101, in late March Speaking of boat, there might actually be an earlier one out, if they use a different shipping line that ships out a week before the WW one I posted about.

My car on bmwusa was showing "Order Documented" for days. I finally removed and re-added and it now shows "Production Begins". My options show correct.
However my two accessories (black kidney grills and CF mirror caps) aren't listed. Is that normal? |

Don't sweat it. My dealer told me the same thing - no need to add those small options at the beginning, they can install them once it reaches the dealer

Unless you specified those to be done by the dealer, they should be port installed.

I agree. If an option was ordered at time of purchase, it will either be completed at Leipzig (major stuff such as Premium, Tech, etc.) and minor bolt-on's at port like items discussed in this thread. Otherwise, the listing dealer usually adds an addendum list next to the window sticker showing their added options (e.g., paint sealants, 20" wheels, etc.). Then bottom line the actual selling price (above MSRP of course)!

OK, InlineSix, I think a couple of us will be leaving you at the factory tomorrow as we finish production. Maybe we'll see you on the boat!

LOL, thanks guys Congrats on reaching the next stage !!! Time for some trans-Atlantic tracking, eh My best friend is a meteorologist who provides weather updates and route planning to ocean liners. I'll see if he can help our ships stay safe on the water
I'm so used to waiting by now, that I feel like a couple of weeks won't make a huge difference That said,

yes, he has it right.
Alpine F31 - if you want better updates from here on in, call BMW USA and speak to one of the customer service staff. Next to your ordering dealership, they have the best almost real-time info once your car is in build. |

Take our M235i. It went to production on January 22nd. We were provided the VIN number at that time too. Its projected build completion was today, February 2nd. However, our M235i did not start its actual build until just this Saturday, January 31st. It takes approximately three working days to build. I was informed this morning during my telephone conversation with BMW USA that the plant worked at seven day cycle. Frankly, surprised that they continue the build over a weekend. My best guess is that our M235i, baring any snag should be all completed as of the writing of this missive.
