Damn what a deal. I haven't taken delivery yet - still at the port QQ - but my price (ex. rebates - I'll have recent grad, corporate sale, and then whatever the best month's rebate is, so as it stands, $3500 in rebates ) is 49k plus all the port goodies I opted for. Did you pick yours up at a dealer or did you order?

I ordered it. Took a little less than 3 months from the date of order to pick up. |

My build finished week of thanksgiving, but there weren't any PCD openings until February so I have to wait until then

I assume so. It's never moved into the "in transit" stage. Dealer called me yesterday to say they don't know why it's still there.

Same here - I got the confirmation from my dealer 11/27, been sitting at the same stage ever since. Perhaps we'll be on the same boat.

Just received the following from my dealer in response to my inquiry about a M240:
“The 2-door version of the 2 Series is out of production because of a new version of that model pending for introduction in the second half of 2021, with the exception of the M2 Coupe. However, BMW introduced a new 2 Series Gran Coupe (4-door Coupe) model earlier this year, and it has become a strong seller for us.” 1. I thought we could continue ordering into the spring. 2. The 2GC is a poor substitute for the M240. Not sure that I would mention it to someone looking for an M240. Sigh. |

Sorry to hear that. Maybe the 2022 model will released sooner? I rushed to order mine because I wanted a convertible and the rumor was no new convertible.

I have lost almost all hope: I ordered a 230 convertible in September with $2500 deposit. Never got an allocation. No convertible 2 series will be built after June. My present M240 convertible will become the only one I'll ever own. All I wanted was one newer update...
Everything for 2022 is junk, my opinion. Dave |

I just want my car to be on a ship... sold my Miata already and so sick of driving the 10 year old Flex (at least it has the Ecoboost motor). Oh well!

For me anyway there is simply nothing more thrill than driving a Miata. Granted all my Miatas had suspension upgrades. I have had plenty of fast cars, from 981s, S5, 370z, Z4, WRX, Mazdaspeed 3. I have always gravitated back to a Miata.
So far I am enjoying the 2021 M240i 6sp. It is definitely more engaging than the 2019 S5. It was worth the wait. |
