What’s the equivalent of carbotech xp10? There doesn’t seem to be a fitment for the m240. Ebc blue stuff? Ferodo 3000? I’m having a hard time getting information. Loved my XP10’s on my MINI and the M240 is basically being driven the same.

Most of our customers are happy with the RS29, PFC08, and DS1.11 for extended wear track pads. |

Hawk Performance HPS 5.0
I'm looking to replace my front stock brake pads with something slightly better and considering the Hawk Performance HPS 5.0. I'm not sure if they will fit my 2016 M235i.
The spreadsheet at the start of this thread does not show a part number for the fronts (is this intentional?), which appears to be HB765B.664. The Hawk Performance website lists the 2014-2015 M235i but not 2016. Does anyone know if there was change for 2016 that would cause this? I wonder if this is just oversight on their part. Thanks! |

Thank you for the info. I had a hard time finding a way of comparing info on different pad types. Hawk has a nice graph but I couldn’t find mu info ( understood it’s hard to compare mu between brands, but just as general information). I couldn’t seem to find anything on ferodo. Ebc Doesn’t seem to list info either. This thread is great, but it’s so big it’s impossible to read the whole thing .

Run PFC08 for track days, yellows on street and light stuff.

It's quick and easy to swap out the pads in these cars. If you have dedicated wheels (with tires mounted) for track days, you can do the wheel swap and brake pad change all at the same time. |

I managed to crumble my PFC08s.
There were loose chunks so I threw them out as I wasn't confident using them again. These cars really need some cooling if you are going to push the brakes hard, or at least remove the backing plates which I didn't do. My local track is reasonably tough on brakes with three big braking zones in a ~66 second lap. I was running up to 20 minute sessions. |

Anybody have a good recommendation for street pads? Looking for low dust and better braking power when used spiritedly on good back roads/mountain roads. I’ve narrowed it down to Stoptech Sport and EBC Redstuff. Open to other suggestions as well.

If you didn't take time to check the earlier pages, Porterfield R4-S & Stoptech Sport were suggested.

Cons: * will destroy your tires easily * still creating a lot of heat, kept colorizing my front calipers towards darker green * very loud when hot on the street, like a dumping truck. I'm seriously less willing to drive it daily now. |

That's because you're running too much pad for your tire. The two need to be reasonably matched for you to experience maximum braking effect.

That's true. I ran ps4s and re71r on these pads. Never felt too much tire
