Yes, extensively; see sig. I've tuned it, upgraded the exhaust, remapped the shocks and installed performance springs. It's a fantastic tuner platform and I am very pleased with its speed, handling and driving dynamics. These performance mods are all for the street, not the track but as currently configured it's a really sharp, genuinely aggressive driver's car and in a whole different league from the stock 228i. Don't hesitate to ask me any questions; the N26 poses a few unique challenges when it comes to tuning and these can be compounded by living in a very emissions-conscious state (CA). A well-tuned and suspension-modded N26 228i can give you all the performance you'd need on the street but if you want to track a 228 you'll be well advised to get the N20 because it's not a SULEV engine and has more headroom for the most aggressive engine modifications.

Well this section has been very quiet lately and now that the 230i is out I am already feeling a little marginalized! However, lots of people know that you CAN mod this car very effectively, even with the N26.

My approach was a "factory" build that put the "sport" in sportline. I have a comfortable daily driver that is more than adequate for road duty without being overly aggressive or loud. I don't get a lot of attention on the road or flexed on which is what I wanted in a sleeper.
Check my sig.

I was wondering that, too but figured I must have missed something. Maybe he has the JB4 but hasn't installed it yet??

The Circuit Werks pipe is quieter than I expected. Cold start is loud but there is such a contrast from cold to warm within 20 or 30 seconds I don't mind it that much. I had the exhaust flap forced open at first but now it is back to automatic and cold start is better. Under load it is only audible if your listening for it...maybe not audible, discernible from the factory down pipe. I can drive by ear now and that is what I wanted. More than the sound it is all the intagibles that get mentioned but can't be measured that easily except by your butt. Tip in, throttle response, comes on boost quicker, stays in boost longer and what can be measured; the JB4 and the down pipe where made for each other.
